First Win of the Season

Pack top Inferno 2 -1

Winnipeg, Manitoba - May 23, 2014

WSA Winnipeg rebounded from a tough loss on Tuesday night against the Demize to gain a 2 - 1 victory over the Chicago Inferno last night.  Several things make this an impressive victory.

Firstly this version of the Wolf Pack is very young.  With the loss of several top veteran stars from last year's roster and the addition of several young rookie players, no one could fault team if it took some time to jell together and work towards their first win.  Secondly, it was a road win, as well as their second game in three nights… impressive!

Paulo Delgrosso assisted on goals by Caelan Budhoo (40) and Ivan Borka(90). While Josh Partaker backstopped the team with seven saves. Borka's goal in extra time was sweet as it snatched up the extra two points vaulting the Pack into an early tie for the league lead.

WSA Winnipeg can not rest though as they finish their road trip Saturday afternoon in St. Louis.  St. Louis is fresh off a tie with the Inferno (0 - 0), so this game promises to be good.  Visit this link Game Hilites to view highlights and archived video of the game.
