This is Tyson’s first opportunity with the senior national team. He has been part of the CSA youth programs previously. Tyson played two years in the PDL with WSA Winnipeg before heading to FC Edmonton .

While at FC Edmonton he took his game to a new level, earning him a call to the national team. Recently, he has assisted as a goalkeeping coach in the MSA High Performance programs.

Tyson mentioned, “I am very excited to have been selected for this team Canada Camp. It has always been a dream of mine to represent my country. It is a huge honour!"

Tyson continues, "I would like to thank WSA Winnipeg, they were a key factor in my development as a soccer player and a person. The opportunity they (WSA) give to young Winnipeg talent is extremely valuable. It was a great experience for me and I would recommend it to all young Winnipegers who aspire to play at the highest level.”

The international test will help Canada prepare for two upcoming FIFA World Cup Qualifiers against Mexico - at home on Friday, March 25th and away on Tuesday, March 29th.

WSA President, Eduardo Badescu added, “Tyson Farago is the first player in WSA Winnipeg's history to sign a professional contract and now is the first former WSA player called to a senior national team camp. Tyson gives everything for the team first and he works hard at everything he does."

William Rosales added, “PDL allows players like Tyson Farago to go up against other high calibre players and which prepares them to make the jump professionally when the time is ready. It gives them an opportunity to practice five times a week and play very good competition against the best players under 23 in North America.”

WSA would like to wish the VERY BEST OF LUCK to our fantastic former goalie Tyson Farago, as well as Marco Bustos and Kianz Froese.Farago Focus.png

Now it is your time to show the world what Tyson Farago is made of! Tyson we wish you all the very best of luck in all of the competition and hope you have an amazing camp while with the Canadian National team."

Do us all proud! More importantly enjoy yourself… next week will be your time to shine.

A huge thank you for being part of the WSA Winnipeg (PDL)!
